Snugger, deeper-toned notes compared with the Peak Attelas. Rocky earth aromatics and flavors of resinous trees. Delicious, herbal, tree character here that gives a savory depth to the wine and again that mountain rock element throughout. The mid palate opens to flavors with a richer hue without falling into excess or dehydration. Notes of molasses and the savory note that comes from the salt-and-pepper caramelized crust of a cooked roast just out of the oven. Ultra long, savory finish. Fine, persistent tannin and mouth-watering acidity. Nicely done.
